Review new hiring guidelines by Sept. 1

Dear Colleagues,

Recognizing and implementing Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) requirements supports the recruitment of a talented and diverse candidate pool for hiring the most qualified individual for the role.

All managers, faculty, and HR staff are required to review the EEO Recruitment and Selection guidelines in BuckeyeLearn by September 1. The guidelines provide information and resources for advancing EEO in the recruit-to-hire process and include links to other helpful documents and job aids.

Beginning in August, when a job requisition is initiated in Workday, the manager of that posted position will receive a Workday notification to make them aware of important information related to Ohio State’s Affirmative Action and EEO policy and compliance requirements.

Additional training opportunities, resources and guidelines are available on the Office of Institutional Equity website.

What you need to do:

Sincerely,

Keesha R. Mitchell, JD
Associate Vice President, Office of Institutional Equity

Jeff Risinger, PhD
Senior Vice President, Talent, Culture and Human Resources
